The correct answer is D- S. pneumonia is the most common cause of meningitis in elderly patients. L. monocytogenes is the most common cause in newborns while N. meningitidis is the most common cause of meningitidis in kids and teens.



Q- In a case of complicated head trauma, rupture of which one of the following vessels leads to epidural hematoma?

A- Bridging veins

B- Middle meningeal artery

C- Posterior communicating artery

D- Saphenous vein

The correct answer is B- Rupture of middle meningeal artery leads to epidural hematoma. Subdural hematoma is caused by rupture of bridging veins. Other options are distractions.
